2. Accessing the website and server logs
When you access this website, your browser sends technically necessary data to the web server. This may include your IP address, date and time, the requested page or file, data volume, referrer, browser type and version, operating system and HTTP status.
We process this data to deliver the website securely and reliably, detect errors and defend against attacks. The legal basis is point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and uninterrupted operation of this website. Our hosting provider may receive this data as a processor.
The website itself does not use additional audience measurement or visitor profiling. Server logs are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer required for operation and security. Logs relating to a security incident may be retained until the incident has been resolved; statutory obligations remain unaffected.
3. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide in order to respond. For contractual or pre-contractual matters, the legal basis is point (b) of Article 6(1) GDPR; otherwise it is point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with unless statutory retention duties or legitimate reasons require continued storage.
4. Functional cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you select a language, the functional cookie poeta_lang stores that selection for one year. The restricted editorial area uses the session cookie poeta_editor while an editor is signed in; it expires at the end of the browser session.
These cookies are necessary to provide the language you expressly selected and the protected editorial login. Storage is governed by section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; the subsequent processing is based on point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. A general cookie banner is not required for these functions.
5. Facebook content and our Facebook Page
Public events and posts from our Facebook Page are retrieved by our server and cached on our own webspace, including the displayed images. Merely viewing this content on poetamagica.de therefore does not connect your browser to Facebook and does not transmit visitor data to Meta.
Only when you follow an external link marked “Facebook” do you leave our website. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, then processes data under its own responsibility. We may receive aggregated Page Insights statistics. For this processing, Meta and we are joint controllers under Article 26 GDPR. More information is available in Meta’s Privacy Policy and the Page Insights Controller Addendum.
Our processing in connection with the Facebook Page is based on point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR for public relations and communication. Point (b) of Article 6(1) GDPR also applies to contractual or booking enquiries.
6. YouTube and Instagram
No YouTube videos or Instagram content are currently embedded on this website. We only provide external links. A connection to the relevant service is established only after you click such a link.
YouTube is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Instagram is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and is covered by Meta’s policy linked above.
7. Bandcamp players
Bandcamp music players are not loaded automatically. Only after you select “Load Bandcamp player” does your browser connect directly to Bandcamp Ventures LLC in the United States to provide the requested player. Bandcamp may process your IP address, browser and device information and request details and may use cookies or similar technologies.
The player is loaded only at your express request. Access to technically necessary information on your device is governed by section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; processing to deliver the requested player is based on point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. 8. Transfers to third countries
When you access an external service or load a Bandcamp player, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. The respective providers are responsible for the required safeguards. Their policies linked above explain the applicable transfer mechanisms.

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect.
